Furtados School of Music (FSM)
Founded in 2011, Furtados School of Music (FSM) is India’s leading organization for structured, high-quality music education. FSM was established with the mission to make music learning accessible to every child, integrating global pedagogy, teacher training, and digital innovation to bring music into classrooms across the country.
FSM has pioneered the transformation of music learning in schools—moving it from being an extracurricular activity to a structured academic discipline aligned with international music education standards. Through comprehensive programs, certified trainers, and modern learning tools, FSM continues to empower students to explore music with confidence, creativity, and discipline.

The Vision– Wind & Brass Project
Wind and brass education in India is still in its early stages, with very few formal programs or training opportunities. Our vision is to introduce, develop, and scale wind band culture across schools and communities—creating ensembles, training local educators, and inspiring a long-term movement for wind music in India.
This role is central to:
- Establishing school and community wind bands
- Training and mentoring educators
- Creating meaningful performance and outreach platforms
- Building a curriculum and setting up a roadmap for wind and brass instrument education in India
