Andrea Vasi

Academic Coach-Piano & Voice

Andrea is a pianist from The Netherlands. She was admitted to the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague at age ten, where she graduated both Bachelor and Master’s degrees with distinction, under the guidance of professor Ellen Corver. Besides, she was trained by professor Pascal Nemirovski, at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Andrea has won numerous competitions, and made her Carnegie Hall (NY) debut at the age of fifteen. Extended concert tours throughout the USA, Canada, Europe, India and Argentina followed, many of them being broadcasted on radio and/or television.

She performed as a soloist, chamber musician and as orchestra/ensemble member and appeared in many festivals worldwide, and was invited to be Young Artist in Residence at the festival of the Dutch National Youth Orchestra in 2014. The cd she recorded with the distinguished ASKO-Schoenberg ensemble was recently nominated for a Grammy award.

After graduation, she became a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (NL). Prior to joining FSM she was working as piano teacher at the Kilu music school in Thimphu (Bhutan), the only government recognised training institute of the country, providing piano lessons to the royal family.
